Academy Accommodations

Academy students need to arrange their rooming accommodations separately from their registration. The Academy has reserved a block of rooms at Queen’s University’s David C. Smith House. This is a brand-new residence building which will provide students with a private room with double bed for $54.50 per night for the duration of the Festival (check in Sunday, check out Friday). Rooms are air-conditioned, have a bathroom shared with the adjacent room, and include a double bed, a flat screen TV and free Wi-fi.

The residence is located just a 14-minute walk/3-minute drive from the Academy base at Chalmers United Church, and a 20-minute walk/5-minute drive from the Festival Hotel and downtown Kingston. To book one of these rooms, contact Academy Director Mark McDonald directly.

Students 18 or over also have the option of staying at the Festival Hotel. (Students under 18 may only register to stay at the hotel if accompanied by a parent or guardian.)
